In 2020 Hotel de L’Europe underwent a complete redesign, during which Nicemakers were responsible for the refurbishing of the rooms, all public areas, private event rooms, three restaurants, and the bar. The project aimed to honor the rich history of the hotel and create a timeless, classic interior design which feels familiar to the visitor, while also bringing a unique sense of modern luxury into the redesign.

 

De L’Europe is recognized as one of the most prestigious hotels of Amsterdam and has been listed on ‘The Leading Hotels of the World’ for more than over 25 years. Continuing to lead in the original allure and the classic luxury that has always been appreciated by the guests. It was essential to create a new design, to invite a new generation of clients. By adding layers on to the already impressive and unique décor, created a sense of discovery, inviting to always finding something new to look at.

 

Luxurious carpets and atmospheric lighting combined with rich wallpaper, voluptuous curtains and refined details create a welcoming atmosphere and understated luxury in which you want to spend time, at any time of the day, all year round. The re-design consists of a play with organic shapes, soft lines and layered approach blending in the traditional elements of the past in combination with a refreshed feeling of the present. This is portrayed in multiple unique objects, antiques, bespoke furniture, warm color palette, and rich materials.
